If you have the time, check out this band called Daybreak Medusa. It slightly reminds of Killswitch Engage but with out the screaming and hard edge. I'd call them more hard rock with melodic influence but they call themselves 'alternative metal'. Not my type of music (I like it a bit harder and aggressive) But I figured you all may or may not dig them. They almost sound like a pop rock band sometimes, but I think they have a chance to appeal to that demographic. I wish them luck. Here are some links to explore this band's sound.

They actually remind me most of Sevendust with keyboards, but less heavy. No, not just because the singer is black... because of the way he sounds, the way the vocal harmonies are lower than the root, the general sound/tonality of the band and song structure. Pretty good stuff. Thanks.

I'll pass on this one, I don't like Alternative Metal, not to mention Pop-Rock, If they succeed then hats off for them but am not going to contribute in that
